Every perfect prompt needs three things: The Who, The What, and The How.

1. The Who (The Persona): Don’t say: “Write a…” Do say: “Act as a [Job Title]…” Why: If you don’t give the AI a personality, it defaults to “boring robot.” Tell it to be a Fitness Coach, a copywriter, or an exhausted parent. Context is everything.

2. The What (The Task): Don’t say: “…email.” Do say: “…write a polite but firm email chasing a late invoice…” Why: Be specific. “Write a blog” is too vague. “Write a blog about dog grooming for beginners” gives the AI a target to hit.

3. The How (The Constraints): Don’t say: [Nothing] Do say: “…keep it under 100 words, use bullet points, and sound friendly.” Why: This is the secret sauce. If you don’t set boundaries, the AI will ramble. Tell it the format (list, table, email), the length, and the tone.
